How we do it

The Liv'in Story

Liv’in – we will do it for you emerged in 2009, in Cascais, based on the fundamental principle that each home should reflect the unique identity of its inhabitants. Just like a fingerprint – unique to each one – distinct to each individual—a home should mirror personal taste and one’s concept of well-being, enhancing the way we experience our living space.

Founded by Lina Galheto and Manuela Sousa e Silva, Liv’in was born from a shared vision that Portuguese homes, whether newly built or older, tend to exhibit a high degree of uniformity in their interiors, from finishes to furniture. In general, a house in Portugal is often defined solely by its construction year and location, which dilutes the unique identity of its residents.

Initially focused in Cascais, the company expanded, taking on architectural and renovation projects across various Portuguese cities and later in the United Kingdom. Due to the increasing demand in the UK, a studio was opened in London to offer a higher quality service in the region. Furthermore, the recent partnership established with a construction company in Bahrain reflects our commitment to quality and excellence in all the services we offer.

Co-founder and CEO of Liv'in, Lina Galheto, leading luxury interior design and architecture innovation.
The recent partnership established with a construction company in Bahrain is a reflection of our commitment to quality and excellence in all the services we offer. Currently, under the continued leadership of Lina Galheto and with the support of a more robust team and a more diverse range of services, Liv’in remains faithful to its original principles.
Commitment to quality, knowledge in interior design, constant search for new solutions and focus on the client's home.
In the long term, Liv’in aims to support its clients globally, whether building their homes and offices, or monetizing their investments.
Beyond our expertise in materials, design, decoration and in many more areas, our team's main purpose is to provide a comfortable and happy experience to all our customers by offering a one of a kind, personal and bespoke experience.

Lina Galheto

CEO and Creative Director

Lina Galheto stands out for her exceptional spatial visualisation skills, meticulous attention to detail, and remarkable ability to think outside the box. She seamlessly combines client preferences and needs with innovative and practical proposals for their spaces.

With an established career, she spent over ten years as a commercial director in leading multinational companies before fully dedicating herself to her true passion – the world of interior design.

Holding a degree in Design and an MBA, she recently completed a degree in Digital Technologies for Business at ISCTE, with a master’s dissertation on “The Potential of Virtual Reality in Interior Design”. Committed to staying at the forefront of the industry, she continuously invests in training, attending international fairs and courses, always staying ahead of the latest trends and integrating them into her projects in a sustainable and innovative way.

Lina Galheto’s design philosophy is based on the famous principle “less is more”. With this in mind, she seeks to harmonise comfort and well-being with style and personality, while never neglecting functionality and practicality. This balance not only improves the quality of life of the occupants but also increases the value of the property itself.

Beyond aesthetics and design, Lina values the importance of the origin and
sustainability of the materials she uses. For a space to be truly unique, it must not only have a distinctive visual identity but also ensure quality, durability, and a minimal environmental impact. For her, sustainability goes beyond the longevity of materials—it also embodies a timeless beauty that stands the test of time.

Architect Carlos Lopes, known for his expertise in high-end architecture, collaborating with Liv'in to shape elegant and bespoke spaces.

Carlos Lopes

Architect

The collaboration between Carlos Lopes and Liv’in came about unexpectedly during a project that involved both companies. It developed organically, driven by a shared vision and aligned work philosophies. The belief that “the best publicity is a satisfied client” was one of the key pillars that allowed this partnership to flourish naturally.

Carlos Lopes began his academic journey studying Art and Design at Bragança High School, which later led him to pursue a degree in Architecture in Lisbon. From his very first year at the university, he started working in the field and quickly realised the importance of urban rehabilitation. To develop his expertise in this area, he enrolled in the first Master’s in Rehabilitation and Conservation of Built Heritage at Instituto Superior Técnico, specialising in techniques that balance historic preservation with innovative spatial solutions.

For Carlos, architecture has a constant presence in everyday life and plays a crucial role in the way we experience spaces. He believes that innovation must always be in harmony with the preservation of the past and considers an architect to be a key mediator in the transformation of the built environment.

The relationship between architecture and interior design is, according to him, intrinsically symbiotic. By combining the structural and technical vision of architecture with the aesthetic and functional details of design, it is possible to create spaces that are not only welcoming and personalised but also perfectly tailored to clients’ needs, whether in residential or corporate contexts.
